New First Aid Book

EquiMedic USA, Inc. is making the new horse owner emergency book: “First Aid for Horse and Rider” available to customers through its retail web site: www.equimedic.com. Co-authored by equine veterinarian, Nancy S. Loving, DVM, and medical doctor, Gilbert Preston, MD, their new book is complete with drawings, images and charts. Published in 2008 by The Lyons Press, this is the first resource book of its kind that has been completely directed to the emergency needs of both horses and humans, between the same book covers.

Established authors, Dr.’s Loving and Preston present their new book to horse owners and riders for “Emergency Care for the Stable and Trail”. Since all of EquiMedic USA’s complete first aid kits feature products for horses and humans, this new emergency care book is a perfect fit for EquiMedic’s select crisis products and for all horse owners.

The owner of Loving Equine Clinic in Boulder, CO, Dr. Nancy S. Loving has authored numerous books, and articles including: “All Horse Systems Go”; “The Horse Owner’s Full-Color Veterinary Care and Conditioning Resource for Modern Performance”; and “Sport and Pleasure Horses”. Practicing medicine in Butte, MT, Dr. Gilbert M. Preston, is also the author of “Wilderness First Aid”. He is the noted authority of back country preparedness and survival.

“First Aid for Horse and Rider” is the second resource of its kind that EquiMedic USA, Inc., is making available to its customers. Dr. Eleanor Kellon’s “Equine First Aid for Horses” has been the only first aid book that EquiMedic has offered to date.

“We researched all of the horse first aid books available to the market place when we started the company,” EquiMedic CEO Sharon Baker explained. “There are a lot of really good horse health resource books out there, but Dr. Kellon’s, and Dr.’s Loving and Preston’s books work the best for keeping in your first aid kit where you most need them to be. Both are well organized, get straight to the problem and what to do about it, and both are presented in a smaller size so they fit well in to a first aid kit,” Baker further explained.

The world leader in the design and manufacture of horse and rider first aid kits, EquiMedic USA, Inc., offers seven complete kits to horse owners world-wide. Based in the Black Hills of western South Dakota, this specialty company makes horse and human first aid supplies available via complete kits, disposable mini wound care kits, restocking and refill supplies, optional and more sophisticated emergency supplies and equipment, and empty kit bags and boxes.

Available world-wide, the full compliment of EquiMedic USA, Inc., first aid kits can also be purchased from noted national distributors including: Smart Pak Equine; Dover Saddlery; Smith Brothers; Valley Vet Supply; National Ropers Supply; KV Veterinary Supply; United Equine Vet Supply; Big Dees; Heartland Veterinary Supply, as well as many regional tack and saddle shops, and a number Internet sales sites.
